Overview : 

We are going to look at one of the popular deemed universities in the counselling that is Hamdard Institute of Medical sciences and research. This is affiliated to Jamia Hamdard University, which is deemed to be University. Now, looking at the seat Matrix there are totally 150 MBBS seats available in this college. 

Seats Available : 

Which are divided into three major categories the first category is all India General category which offers 52 seats then we have the all India Muslim minority that offers 75 seats all India NRA category 23 seats now. 

Admission and Eligibility : 

To participate in the counseling in this college. There is no domicile requirement, you can be from anywhere in India as long as you have cleared the neat exam, that is sufficient now, for General category anyone can participate, there is no domicile requirement, there is no Community requirement, only requirement is you should have cleared neat exam. The second, all India Muslim minority, there is no domicile requirement but you should be a Muslim by birth. So, there is a religious requirement, you should be a Muslim by birth, converted Muslims are not allowed to participate only Muslims by birth qualify for these 75 seats and then NRI category. Here if you are an NRI or NRI sponsored or Foreigner, you can take a seat under this particular category either you can participate in one category or maybe in two categories depending on your eligibility. Now, where should I register ? 

Cut Off : 

Now, let's look at the cut off rank, closing rank for first general category. Last year,  it was 56,000 in round one and round two, it was about 59,000 round three. There are no vacancies by second round, all the seats are closed. Now, this is the cut off in the previous years 2021 - 22. You could see that every year, the rank is dropping in 2021. It was 35,000 then in 2022, it was 47,000. Now, it is 56,000. So, almost every year. It is a 10,000 ranks is dropping. Because, more and more medical colleges are opening, more and more government medical colleges are opening. So, there are more options for candidates.
